The #7 overall Auburn Tigers (5-0) travel to Gainesville this weekend for a massive SEC showdown against the #10 overall Florida Gators (5-0). Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM EST on Saturday, October 5th at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and the game will be nationally televised on CBS.
Taking a look at the Week 6 college football odds, Florida opened as a 3-point home favorite earlier this week. That line has changed substantially after early betting, as the Gators are currently listed at +3. The total for the game is sitting at 47 points.

Auburn improved to 5-0 overall last weekend after crushing Mississippi State 56-23 at home to remain unbeaten. The Tigers outscored a stunned Bulldogs team 42-9 in the first half to put the game out of reach early. QB Bo Nix was very solid, going 16/21 for 335 yards and two touchdowns while also adding another 56 yards and a score on the ground. RB JaTarvious Whitlow also had an impressive outing, scoring three touchdowns despite only gaining 55 rushing yards. This is setting up to be one of the premiere matchups on the entire schedule here in Week 6, as both of these SEC rivals have yet to lose a game this season. While this game could clearly go either way, I think I feel a little bit more comfortable taking my chances with the Tigers in this spot. Not only are they 5-0 straight up to start the season, they are also a perfect 5-0 against the spread. On the other side, Florida is a much more average 2-2-1 ATS over their first five games. It is also important to point out how much more difficult Auburn's schedule has been thus far, as they have already played two AP Top-25 teams (Oregon and Texas A&M) and a very solid MS State program. Florida has yet to play an opponent that is ranked inside of the Top 25, as their most difficult matchups have come against Kentucky and Miami who are only a combined 4-5 on the season overall.

While many Gators backers are pointing out that they are 5-1 straight up over their last six meetings at home against Auburn, I think that this years version of the Tigers should finally manage to turn the tide. Not only do they appear to be the better team on both sides of the ball, they are also 4-2 against the spread over their last six conference games. Until I see Florida prove they are 100% legitimate against a powerhouse school, I'd rather roll the dice with Auburn in this marquee SEC showdown. I'll take the Tigers to grind out a tough road cover here in Week 6.
